Loud, proud, and almost ridiculously over-the-top – what wasn’t there to love about Queen? While poodle-haired guitar maestro Brian May recently brought the band’s legacy back to life (he and drummer Roger Taylor collaborated with Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers to produce a new album), the most potent memory of queen lies with the image of the late, great Freddie Mercury.
The moustached King of camp truly embraced the theatrical with his performances, and boasted one of the most impressive voices in rock history.
