Aren’t balls great?! They’re good for throwing, catching, kicking, bouncing and navigating over difficult terrain…
Wait… what?
In most cases I would immediately retract such an absurd and poorly judged comment and retreat into shameful silence, but not this time. This time, balls actually are good for navigating over rocks, steps and such – and here’s the proof:

Andy Ward recently set a new world record as he became the first person to kite-surf across the English Channel. The 33-year-old spent six hours skimming 70 miles across the waves from the Channel Islands to his home port of Poole in Dorset, as a fundraiser for the Special Boat Service Association. Read more

Easter fun for all the family at Go Ape!

Go Ape is a fantastic day out for Easter, it’s possibly one of our favourite days out on the website (and that’s out of over 2000 gifts). This is family fun for monkeys and apes of all sizes from baby chimp to daddy gorilla. Each of the 22 locations has something different to offer including the longest zipline in the UK at the Aberfoyle site.
The basic idea is to swing from tree to tree, using ziplines, rope bridges, ladders, walkways and tunnels (think Tarzan crossed with It’s a Knockout – which is definitely a TV show we would watch). Segway Rally Racing Video

The Segway. Let’s be fair now: it’s a bit of a strange thing. A curious mixture of electric moped, skateboard and Transport-From-The-Future that is, in many countries, banned from both the road and the pavement.
Take a look at the video though and you’ll see where the Segway really excels. It seems that the Personal Transporter of the future is an absolute joy to drive (pilot? Captain? Who knows!?) off-road in a Segway rally race against your mates.
Although the top speed of about 12mph doesn’t sound like much it feels exhilarating because of the natural and instinctive controls (that’s gyroscopically-precision-detected controls to be precise) and the fact that you’ll be haring around some nifty off-road terrain.
