Skim the waves with a wild water sports experience.

Some people seem to live for exciting experiences, which, here at Buyagift, is something we can appreciate. Andy Ward recently set a new world record as he became the first person to kite-surf across the English Channel. The 33-year-old spent six hours skimming 70 miles across the waves from the Channel Islands to his home port of Poole in Dorset, as a fundraiser for the Special Boat Service Association.
Ward, who has been an avid kite-surfer for over three years, travelled at speeds of up to 30 knots as he made his way through the world’s busiest shipping lane. Describing the experience as “a real adrenaline rush“, the extreme sports enthusiast almost had to abandon his effort before he started, due to a lack of wind. However, thanks to a healthy mix of ingenuity and luck, the dare-devil was soon whizzing across the water.
If you want to follow in the presumably wet footsteps of the daring father of three, why not take a look at our wet ‘n’ wild experience gifts? While we wouldn’t advise trying to top Mr Ward’s fantastic feat (not on your first lesson anyway), you can get to grips with the basics of kite-surfing as a qualified professional helps you on your way. And if you think of yourself as a water baby, but don’t fancy kite-surfing, we have a variety of other water sports that you’re sure to love.
From white-water rafting to scuba-diving, you’re sure to make a splash with our wet ‘n’ wild action experience days.
