Get your kicks in the air with Airkix indoor skydiving

BA is happy
Do you like the thought of skydiving but think that perhaps jumping 7000ft from a plane protected by what essentially is some string and a big sheet isn’t exactly a great idea?

Well fear not, for thanks to our friends at Airkix we can now feel the thrill, float in the air and feel the wind whistling past our cheeks, without ever having to step near a plane. B.A. Baracus would be pleased.

The basic premise is this:

  1. Take 1 wind tunnel (the kind used for aerodynamic testing of all sorts of cool stuff like planes and Formula 1 cars).
  2. Turn it on it’s side so it’s blowing air up.
  3. Get inside said air tunnel.
  4. Turn on fans (a bit like that bit in The Crystal Maze but way more powerful)
  5. Float in the air.

Maybe a video would explain it better
