The Black Stig – back from the deep?

Like the Kraken rising from the unspeakable depths, the Black Stig has made a reappearance.  Last seen racing a jet on board the HMS Invincible in 2003, the Black Stig was thought to have met his watery end (which you can see here) when he went overboard. At 109mph.

Now it seems he’s back.

Interrupting a friendly game of football on an unnamed beach, the dark figure strode from the surf – helmet on and silent as the grave (no change there then) – seemingly unaware of his surroundings. Is it the original Black Stig?  Has he been replaced with a challenger from the deep?  What will he do to the White Stig (someone whose fate we’ve discussed ealier – Who is the Stig? ) when and if he finds him?

Who knows?  All we know is that it might be time to stock up on a Stig poster or two – the battle of the Stigs starts here.
