Every month we like to reward our favourite review. We get together, drink some tea/coffee and decide which review has stood out from the rest…and then give them a prize. Who can argue with that?

February’s review of the month comes from Lisa H for her bird of prey review. Her story and pictures had us all smiling (on a Monday morning, no less!). And her prize… a £50 voucher. Congratulations Lisa!

“Today we had a an amazing morning with Bob on a half day bird of prey day.

I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU WHAT A BRILLIANT MORNING IT WAS !!!!

I think Bob went above and beyond to make our day an amazing experience. My little girl is going to be a falconer now – it’s the first time in her whole life she stopped talking!!!! (while we were there). She went to bed still talking about Whiskey, Bella, Amelia, Maud, Captin Crazy etc to name but a few characters that will stay in our hearts forever. Good luck to Megan in her release.

Thank you for finding Bob he is a gem. We will definitely be going back for another fix. Can you please see that he gets our thanks – I know Ellie is planning to send him a drawing.”

Did I mentioned in a previous post that LEGOLAND are planning to break the world record for the most amount of pirates gathered in one place? Well, in order to get all you seadogs and swashbucklers down to the good ship LEGOLAND Windsor this Saturday, LEGOLAND are letting one child enter the park for free when an accompanying adult pays full price (£38.00).

But as it’s a Guinness World Record attempt there is a strict dress code. Pirate clothing to be worn must include all of the following:

1. pirate-themed top and bottoms;
2. a pirate accessory (either a sword, hook, parrot or jolly rodger flag);
3. a pirate hat or bandanna and;
4. an eye patch.

So, shiver some timbers and grab a few pieces of eight and get down to LEGOLAND Windsor this Saturday for some serious pirate action.

The actual restaurant is very pleasant, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. But lets face it- it’s the tea you are interested in! You might think that ‘tea’ would not be that much food but there is plenty of it. Five different sandwiches, two scones and about three or four cakes each. And all really tasty! Geneva, Switzerland is widely known as the capital of diplomacy and international relations…not for its annual car show. However, with incredible announcements made by both Porsche and Ferrari, it is now!

With the world gripped in an environmental struggle to dramatically reduce its CO2 rate, the motor industry has often been called in to question regarding its role. So, the 2010 Geneva Motor Show- the motor industry’s chance to show off their latest motor innovations- was always going to be interesting. And, as a younger Bruce Forsyth used to say, didn’t they do well!

The Porsche 918 Spyder prototype is a high performance hybrid sports car combining high-tech racing features with low-emission electro-mobility technology. Its low fuel consumption, high performance and long electric range will delight the greenest of car lovers; truly a milestone in Porche’s attempt to develop genuine electro-mobile technology. But it’s Ferrari’s astonishing announcement that has really dropped jaws.

Raw power, thrust and an aggressive engine sound have long been signature attributes of Ferrari’s iconic range. To some it’s impossible to even comprehend a Ferrari vehicle that can be operated in some way by electronic technology. So, Ferrari’s ambitious announcement that it is readying a hybrid system for launch in 2015, will blow their minds.

The Ferrari KY-KERS is an experimental vehicle that will adapt an hybrid drivetrain to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano model. This will maintain the high performance characteristics of a typical Ferrari (the hybrid can’t run purely on electricity alone and therefore will keep the V12 engine sound) whilst reducing CO2 emissions by 35%.

With both Porsche and Ferrari still developing their models, we might not see either on ours road for some time. But if you just can’t wait then our Porsche and Ferrari driving experiences, will be right up your street.
