3 men aiming guns

Whilst lazing on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon and hopping channels on the TV, Sean Connery appeared on the screen messing around with gadgets and spouting witty one liners. I haven’t been the same since. So imagine my delight when browsing the web the other day. It all became clear in one life altering revelation. I have discovered the secret of James Bond’s inexhaustible array of talents…Buyagift.com. Read more

Take on the stars with a Segway racing experience

October 22, 2009 by Tim · Leave a Comment

segwayFun, fast and unusual – the Segway is a truly unique vehicle, and now even the celebrities are having a go! Always up for a challenge, the presenters of BBC Radio One tried their hand at steering a Segway today, as they took turns racing around the office.

Scott, Fearne, Becky and Chappers, the resident hosts of the station’s Scott Mills Show, raced for glory as they commanded the corners of the Radio One basement in a bid to find out just who was the fastest. The crew enjoyed themselves greatly, despite the fact that their efforts ranged from bad (Becky spent the majority of her lap screaming) to worse (Chappers managed to fall off the Segway while it was stationary). Robot plus ball equals a sphere-ly good time…

October 16, 2009 by Ian · Leave a Comment

Aren’t balls great?! They’re good for throwing, catching, kicking, bouncing and navigating over difficult terrain

Wait… what?

In most cases I would immediately retract such an absurd and poorly judged comment and retreat into shameful silence, but not this time. This time, balls actually are good for navigating over rocks, steps and such – and here’s the proof:

Take your adrenaline levels to new heights with an action experience day.

October 1, 2009 by Tim · Leave a Comment

rock-climbingThink you’re an adrenaline junkie? Then how about this for sheer craziness – thrill seeker Beat Kammerlander recently scaled a near-vertical 130ft cliff, with almost no protective gear! What’s more, the unconventional Austrian ignored the well-established route preferred by the majority of climbers, and instead worked his way to the top by skilfully using a crack that ran the length of the rock face. Cackle and whoop as you race down a hill on a three foot cushion of air. A safety harness will keep you from rattling around as you make your way down a variety of sloped venues across the UK. Time of life had as Guardian man goes Indoor Skydiving

June 15, 2009 by Max · Leave a Comment

"I'm a Times myself..."

"I'm a Times man myself..."

The Guardian today took a break from covering the latest interminable MP expense scandal to turn to far more pressing matters: just how much sky do you need in order to sky-dive? The surprising answer was: “Not much.”

We could have told them that!

Yes, they sent their man in the field to find out what all this Airkix indoor skydiving business was about. Turns out that’s about an incredible amount of fun and also only about £49 if you take advantage of our special Father’s Day offer that gives you two sky-diving sessions for the price of one.

Their intrepid journo sent back his dispatches from the front-line and reported that ”for the best part of two minutes I am unnaturally hanging in space, having the time of my life”. That sounds about right to us!

You can read the full review here – if it sounds like something your Dad might like for a Father’s Day gift then pop on over to our Airkix Indoor Skydiving shop and book yourself a session!

Easter fun for all the family at Go Ape!

April 9, 2009 by owen · Leave a Comment

Go Ape is a fantastic day out for Easter, it’s possibly one of our favourite days out on the website (and that’s out of over 2000 gifts). This is family fun for monkeys and apes of all sizes from baby chimp to daddy gorilla. Each of the 22 locations has something different to offer including the longest zipline in the UK at the Aberfoyle site.

The basic idea is to swing from tree to tree, using ziplines, rope bridges, ladders, walkways and tunnels (think Tarzan crossed with It’s a Knockout – which is definitely a TV show we would watch). Check out the awesome zipline in Aberfoyle in the video above or click through for a slideshow of the office trip to Go Ape!

Head on over to Buyagift to get your Go Ape! tickets
