BA is happy
Do you like the thought of skydiving but think that perhaps jumping 7000ft from a plane protected by what essentially is some string and a big sheet isn’t exactly a great idea?

Well fear not, for thanks to our friends at Airkix we can now feel the thrill, float in the air and feel the wind whistling past our cheeks, without ever having to step near a plane. B.A. Baracus would be pleased.

Mothers Day Competition Reminder

It’s Wednesday 18th March and we all know what that means: it’s 44 years to the very day that Russian cosmonaut Alexy Leonov became the first person to perform a space walk.

It’s also, in perhaps a less space-based way, the last day for entries into the Buyagift Mothers Day Competition.  You could win your mum an amazingly relaxing and indulgent Pampering and Cream Tea for Two at the Elizabeth Arden Spa, which, let’s face it is a pretty amazing Mothers Day Gift to turn up with on Sunday.

So, ladies and gentlemen, let’s have no delays in getting your entries for the competition in.  Remember, all you have to do is tell us why your mum deserves to win.

It’s so straight-forward that even a space-walking astronaut should be able to do it.

Mothers Day Competition – Spoil your mum on us

March 16, 2009 by Max · Leave a Comment

Mothers Day CompetitionThere’s only a few days left before Mothers Day (this coming Sunday – March 22nd) but, more alarmingly, you only have until Wednesday 18th March to enter the Buyagift Mothers Day Competition.

The fabulous prize is a Pampering and Cream Tea for Two at the fabulous Elizabeth Arden spa in swanky Mayfair, London.  The lucky winning mum will be indulged with a warm cream manicure, a professional shampoo and blowdry, a make-up refresher and then a wickedly decadent cream tea. The very best part about this is that as it’s a “for two” package then your mum gets to take her bestest friend along as well.

And you are of course your mum’s bestest friend so….

Taking part is simple.  All you have to do is go to the Mothers Day Competition page (which you can also get to from the Mothers Day Gifts page) and tell us simply why your mum deserves to win.  What could be simpler?

Don’t forget that the closing date is Wednesday 18th March so get your entries in soon!

Mothers Day Deal – 2 for 1 Champneys Relax Day

Mothers Day Gift - 2 for 1 Champneys Relax Day

"Now about that loan, Mum..."

I’ve never met anyone who likes being instructed to relax. For most, being told to “chill” is an invitation to blow a gasket, with a protracted period of sulking for afters. And for most modern mums, the cool-as-cucumber demeanour is their most essential accessory. Stressful job? No problem. Screaming kids? Sorted. Grown-up children asking for grown-up loans? Cool as…

This relax day is a gentle reminder that cooling-off is not a sin. Pop it on the tray along with a cup of Earl Gray on Mother’s Day morn, and your most overlooked of loved-ones will have the opportunity to lose herself amongst these state-of-the-art modern facilities. Jacuzzi, steam room, pool, gym and beautiful surroundings are the key conspirators in a plot to make her take some time for herself.

This two-for-one package makes a wonderful mother’s day gift. Time to tell her “thank you”…

Jigsaw’s terrifying legacy lives on at Thorpe Park with this new roller-coaster based on the terrifying Saw movies.  Featuring a beyond-vertical 100ft drop, barrel rolls and a “headchopper effect” (which we’re all quite keen to find out about – though not first hand) Saw: The Ride is shaping up to be one of the UK’s most frightening roller-coasters.

Saw: The Ride opens for action on Saturday 14th March 2009 – make sure you’ve got your Thorpe Park tickets ready.  That is, of course, if you can face your fears and prove you’ve got the guts to ride…
